Yes - Jet has his first cold. And believe me - despite the cute pictures above - it's no fun! Even with all that my poor little boy is not enjoying his first cold. I'm not dedicated enough to take pictures of the sad moments this cold has brought on. The worst thing in the world according to Jet - wiping his nose. The worst thing in the world according to mommy - her baby can't breathe through his nose so that makes eating, sleeping etc. MUCH harder for poor baby - forget drinking a bottle! How do babies survive severe congestion!? He's had stuffy noses with teething but THIS is ridiculous. I feel so bad for him! Sunday he was such a sad little boy (and I was a very, very sad mommy). He would just cry if I wasn't holding him and walking around the room. Lip quivering and all! I kept thinking how I would see poor, sick babies around and dread when my baby would be that flush-faced, runny-nosed, teary-eyed mess - and now he is. :( Not as bad as some...but still not my healthy Jet.
Now I will say he is doing MUCH better than he was on Friday. He still has the symptoms but is happy to play and sleeping a little better. During this illness Jet has discovered he loves all types of pudding, avocado is still good, and cheese grits were successful. Hopefully he is on the road to recovery and can go back to just cutting teeth. And Mommy can go back to not worrying so much. So here's hoping for a long nap this afternoon little boy!

Aw poor Jet! Those stuffy noses are no fun for anyone! The best thing we found that helped, although none of our children liked us doing it was to put some saline in their nose and use the bulb syringe from their birth to suck the gunk out. It really helped them breathe better. Also a bath before bed and some BABY vicks vaporub on their chest. Even with a cold Jet is cute, cute, cute!!!!

Awww no fun to have colds! He is still adorable! and I was noticing all that hair... Makes him look like a grown up little boy :-)
I hope that Jet is well very soon!!!
i missed you guys on sunday! sorry he's feeling so under the weather. saline nose spray and that wonderful (hateful) blue blub nose syringe helps a little. have you tried baby vicks? humidifier? letting nina babysit? :P okay, just kidding. when the little ones are sick they want their momma. who am i kidding, even when the big ones are sick they want their momma! sending you guys big hugs and get well wishes.
