Family Photos. :)

A friend of ours is brushing up on his photography and asked us if we would like some family pics! I was thinking "have you SEEN my blog?" lol. YES! We love pictures - especially if they include our little guy. So we went over to Life University for a pretty fall background and some gorgeous weather. Jet was a little sleepy but he let us take his picture for a little while. Jet is wearing the olive hat we ordered from the family raising money to adopt their little girl named Olive.
Here are some of our favorites.

Mad Hatter

Cool weather means some pretty cool hats according to our little guy. Here are some pics to make you say "Hey...I need a hat like that!" :)
This sweater and hat were hand-made by a friend of ours who lives next to grandmother and grandfather. It was a gift before Jet was even born and we couldn't wait for him to wear this cuddly combo. They fit perfectly!
Jet loves it - he tries to chew on it of course but I can't stand to let him! I sure do have my work cut out for me with this little caterpillar chewing through everything. :)
This next one is a favorite of mine. :) It makes his eyes look so grey! And who doesn't love a raccoon on your baby's head?
A view from of our driveway.
And his sweatshirt matches! :) Sweet boy - I'm so glad you have no choice but to wear whatever mommy puts you in. :)
Here Jet is "in the hood".
But underneath is this fabulous fashion statement. lol. It has jets on it...did I have a choice?!
His shirt says "knight in shinning armor". And he is.
From our home to yours - Enjoy this fabulous fall weather. And don't forget to wear a hat!

You expect me to eat this?

Jet - I'd like you to meet oatmeal.
It's time you two got acquainted.
Just remember not to judge things by their appearance.
And first impressions aren't always correct.
I took a video of this first encounter with cereal and for the first minute and a half he cried (oatmeal running down his chin) until I gave him a little of bottle. lol. This is the edited version. But it still shows a little of his feelings about his first taste of solid food. :)

Saving Olive

Dear friends, You may notice the new picture link titled "Saving Olive" I have added to the right column of my blog. Well I have recently learned (from a fellow SB mom) about a family that is trying to rise money ($6,000 to be exact) to help cover the costs of an international adoption. They have a website: http://savingolive.blogspot.com/ where they detail their journey of how they are desperately trying to save a little 3.5 year old girl by the name of Olive (so cute!) from a life in an institution. Olive, who was born with Down Syndrome and a heart defect, lives in Eastern Europe where she is likely to suffer at the hands of ignorance unless she is adopted and brought home to a family who loves her.

They are making and selling some adorable hats and I thought I would pass along their website just in case anyone wants to order on in support of a family that wants to help a sweet little girl. You can also choose just to donate to their cause if you wish. Thank you so much for reading.

These hats are designed to look like olives and are green with a red center on top! So adorable - this is the one I want to order for Jet. The girls version has scalloped edges, and the boys has a clean finish.
And I love this for a little girl!

I don't know this family but was touched by their story. I also think the little hats are adorable. The wife, Ashley, sent me this link when I contacted her about purchasing a hat: http://savingolive.com/
